This podcast introduces you to Hendecasyllables, the metre used by Catullus in many of his finest poems. We discuss how the lines are put together, and then look at two of the lines from Catullus 13 and scan them. This is best done with the text in front of you: see Section 6A(i) for the the text, and p. 266 of the Independent Study Guide, which scans the lines for you.
