Suetonius lists the physical characteristics of Nero as follows: Height: average; Body: pustular and malodorous; Hair: light blond; Features: pretty, rather than handsome; Eyes: dullish blue; Neck: squat; Belly: protuberant; Legs: spindly (Suetonius, Nero 51).
