Eero Castrén: Why do antidepressants work?

Prof. Eero Castrén from Helsinki University, gave this Stockholm Psychiatry Lecture in September 2012 at Nobel Forum, Karolinksa Institute.

He outlines which disorders - apart from depression - respond to antidepressant medication, describes the drugs and their effects on neurons, evaluating a large body of research in the field.
