Greek Cinema – Emerging from a Landscape in the Mist

Over the last twenty years or so a contemporary cinema has emerged from Greece with a different style, thematic concerns and narrative techniques. This article by Petro Alexiou takes an overview of Greek cinema since the 1970s and looks at some of the most notable of recently produced films to examine current cinematic trends and aspirations in Greek film-making.
