Theodoros Manolidis (1940-) is a greek painter distinguished for his baroque compositions captured in an illusionistic style. Drawing from ancient Greek vase painting, antique sculpture, Pompeian frescoes, Byzantine icons and mosaics, Dutch stilleben, folk art and miniature drawings, Manolidis seeks to unite past and present in a highly personal artistic kaleidoscope.
