Overview of World Religions

The Overview of World Religions website provides introductory articles on all the major world religions and the regions in which they have flourished. many aspects of Islamic belief and practice. Under each religion, topics include the historical development and spread of the religion as well as the more specific sects and traditions. The articles are accessible and well-cited, and will be most appropriate as introductory texts for students or as a basis for further research. The site is part of PHILTAR (Philosophy, Theology and Religion), a project of the Division of Religion and Philosophy at the University of Cumbria.
