The People's Charter 1839
The Chartists were English radicals who demanded a expansion of the very narrow franchise in England to include all adult males and dispense thereby with the property qualifications to elect an MP. They did anticipate the political reforms of the following ninety years which eventually led to universal suffrage. This is the original set of demands which they sent to parliament.
