ViewFinder - historic photographs of England

The photographs on ViewFinder are all held in the English Heritage Archive. They date from the 1850s and are a resource for people interested in England's social, industrial, architectural and archaeological history. There are also photo essays which provide commentaries alongside selected images and cover subjects such as London's Docks, prefabs, women at work, windmills and much more.
