History of Mathematics from Euclid to Wiles

This course will look at key developments and key figures in the creation of mathematics. The course will commence with a look at Greek mathematicians of antiquity, in particular : Euclid, Archimedes, Diophantus and Pythagoras, followed by a discussion of mathematicians instrumental in the techniques for solving algebraic equations, this will be followed by a look into the calculus and the wars surrounding it's precedence. The course will discuss the lives of great mathematicians that helped mould mathematics into what it is today.
